Issue Positions

For Presidential and Congressional candidates who refuse to provide voters with their positions, Vote Smart has researched their public records to determine their likely responses. These issue positions are from 2024.

  • "I am a Pro-Life candidate. I believe we have followed the constitution on the issue by overturning Roe v Wade and putting it to the states. One day in the future I am sure abortion will be a thing of the past." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "As a country, we waste trillions of dollars in fraud, waste, and abuse in all our welfare programs and Medicare. Logically speaking, our money is better spent on enforcement, which in turn can eliminate fraud and save us trillions of dollars. Also, we need to discuss all options to save Medicare and Social Security. This topic is often avoided, and that is why we need strong leaders who aren’t afraid to tackle tough issues." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare? Yes" (None)
  • "I believe we need to move as much power back to the states as possible. Who is better to serve their citizens than the state government they live under? Institutions such as insurance, education, labor, EPA, Medicare, Medicaid, and welfare would be better served at the state level. I would support defunding the Department of education on day one. There are also over 70,000 empty unused offices and buildings that we should divest ourselves from. Saving billions of dollars." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "When needed we should take money from useless programs and put it into programs in need. I believe we have the money to support our government if we cut spending on programs that the federal government shouldn't be involved in. Social security and Medicare could also use some updating to cut fraud waste and abuse. We lose 100's of billions each year on these programs. We shouldn't have to expand government to make both of these solvent." (None)
  • "In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket? No" (None)

  • "When you look at the support and who it goes to you can see why we have corruption in Congress and politics as a whole. Teachers unions give millions in support to Democrats so they can have a say influence on bills." (None)
  • "Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions? Yes" (None)
  • "Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct? Yes" (None)
  • "I believe we need qualified immunity for police. I don't believe they should be protected if there is a pattern of abuse. Each case should be judged on it's merit. Every interaction with police is different." (None)
  • "Do you support increasing defense spending? Yes" (None)
  • "I support doing what is necessary to protect America. In this day and age we shouldn't have to spend 100's of billion for protection but it is necessary. I also believe we need to root out fraud waste and abuse in all departments of government." (None)
  • "Besides costing jobs and opening our borders and inflation what has Buyden done that was constructive?? Give away money!! That is the what Democrats do." (twitter.com)
  • "Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth? No" (None)
  • "If you had half a brain you would understand that we "can't afford" what we have now. You must not understand you print and give away money then comes inflation to make what you gave away worth less. For you liberals that want $5 gas again vote for Biden." (twitter.com)
  • "True but unfortunately Republicans are getting rolled by the Democrats and supporting the plan. No Republicans fiscal conservatives out there fighting to rein in this spending spree that will destroy our economy. Put people back to work!" (twitter.com)

  • "Biden couldn't find his pudding without help. If this is Biden getting us out of trouble, then we are in big trouble! Biden is getting us out of trouble by starting WW3, open borders, Afghanistan debacle, inflation, Fentanyl deaths, and crime!" (twitter.com)
  • "I guess if you have TDS, you would. It's amazing how 2 years into Bidens' term, everything is still Trump's fault. Open borders, sex trafficking, inflation, Fentanyl deaths, crime all a product of this demented old man. He should be arrested for murder." (twitter.com)

  • "High schools and colleges should be advising our children to the degree that best suits the student. Most students are unsure of what they want to be and, because of lack of assistance, get degrees they never use. With research and advisement, we can guide students to the degree that best suits their strengths and goals." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "The degree should not cost more than the one-year average salary of the job you will get with the degree." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "We should also alter the cost of degrees to the value of the degree. If you are going to school to be a doctor or lawyer, you will be making an income that will allow you to pay back your loans. If you are getting a degree, such as interior design, that makes thirty thousand a year, how will you afford to pay back a hundred-thousand-dollar loan?" (www.carl4congress.com)
  • Despite exhaustive research, Vote Smart was unable to find information about this candidate's position.
  • "America is the engine that produces change. Our people will solve the problems of pollution with the help of the government but not with the direction of it." (None)
  • "Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)? No" (None)
  • "Yes, climate change isn’t a conservative issue. Yet we as Republicans have to take over the narrative. Democrats have been running the narrative on climate change for over 4 decades and spent trillions of dollars. Yet still, the world is supposed to come to an end by 2030. All that money spent and according to Democrats, it’s not enough." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "Drill baby Drill" (twitter.com)
  • "Energy production would be the top item. Requires no additional funding just opening up our resources. This is what we have to push when we take Congress back and control the purse strings. We need to force this administration to open up the all of the above strategy to lower our fuel prices. This alone will bring inflation back down. Illegal immigration has to be stopped. We need to hold this administration accountable and use the purse strings to make them enforce our immigration laws." (None)
  • "Funny how everyone in the world knows what will cure our inflation and hurt our enemies the most. Drill our own oil!! Energy is skyrocketing and all because of the guy in the White House who is beholden to the left-wing environmentalist." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "When we have a leak the environmentalist has a cow and wants to close pipelines and quit producing oil. Evidently, they don’t care about the pollution coming from other countries we buy our oil from. From the Middle East, it isn’t much better. Their main problem with the dependence on oil and gas as a primary source of energy lies in the huge pollution caused by the industry. For example, oil enterprises and petroleum companies currently release about 2000 tons of chemicals in the atmosphere and discharge about 70 million tons of polluted wastewater to the sea per annum. This amount of continuous pollution, which is a result of normal activities, not accidents, forms the second major threat to the entire ecosystem and humankind’s life." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "Do you generally support gun-control legislation? No" (None)
  • "I am a believer in our 2nd amendment. I don't believe we should punish the many for what a very few do. If we enforced out laws and put bad guys in prison we would be much safer then taking away our protections." (None)
  • "It is a right to own a gun and protect yourself and your family, period! There is no need to make gun laws to enforce the 99.99 percent of legal gun owners who commit no crimes. We do need to enforce our laws and penalize criminals with long prison sentences. We need to rein in these rogue judges, DAs, prosecutors, and the DOJ who want to let criminals out and punish victims." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")? Yes" (None)

  • "Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border? Yes" (None)
  • "My stance on immigration is that we need to build a wall but with entry ports. We need labor, and immigrants provide labor. It’s not about cost because they make good money in the United States and send it back home. We need labor that will do the jobs Americans don’t or won’t do, such as picking fruits and vegetables." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "This crisis is the making of the Marxist in charge or his puppet masters. In the belief that they will eventually have millions of new voters. We are the only country in the world that is letting in millions of poor people and spending hard working tax payers money to support them. If we don't do something this will be the ruin of our country." (None)
  • "We can streamline the process and keep a record of every immigrant in the United States by using verification processes like Clear and TSA Pre. Every immigrant must pass a background check, get fingerprinted, submit a retinal scan, and submit their personal information. Once everything is set up, they can be issued an identification card that they use to enter and leave the United States. This way, we can keep track of the comings and goings of immigrants. The information they submit will be given to our law enforcement databases, in case a crime is committed so they can be identified and deported. We will bill them a thousand dollars a year for this service; this fee will pay for border enforcement and expenses to run the program. The fee is inexpensive in comparison to the money some immigrants spend to have a mule bring them into our country." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship? Yes" (None)

We are the only country in the world that is letting in millions of poor people and spending hard working tax payers money to support them. • "We need to end chain migration, be stricter on asylum seekers, and end birthright citizenship. Like many government programs, Americans are getting taken advantage of and costing taxpayers billions. We need to change catch and release to catch and return immediately if immigrants do not enter legally." (www.carl4congress.com)
  • "We need to take the 87,000 IRS agents that Biden hired to harass Americans and make them ICE agents. Task them with rounding up the Biden illegal immigrants and sending them back to Mexico. Not the countries they came from but back to Mexico. Once Mexico gets a couple million illegals returned to them they will probably build a wall on their side of the border." (www.carl4congress.com)

  • "Killed 13 service members. Killed 1700 illegals trying to come to America, killed 100k with fentynal deaths, and killed 10's of thousands in Ukraine. to name a few accomplishments." (twitter.com)

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
When needed we should take money from useless programs and put it into programs in need. I believe we have the money to support our government if we cut spending on programs that the federal government shouldn't be involved in. Social security and Medicare could also use some updating to cut fraud waste and abuse. We lose 100's of billions each year on these programs. Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
When you look at the support and who it goes to you can see why we have corruption in Congress and politics as a whole. Teachers unions give millions in support to Democrats so they can have a say influence on bills.
Yes Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct?
I believe we need qualified immunity for police. I don't believe they should be protected if there is a pattern of abuse. Each case should be judged on it's merit. Every interaction with police is different.
Yes Do you support increasing defense spending?
I support doing what is necessary to protect America. In this day and age we shouldn't have to spend 100's of billion for protection but it is necessary. I also believe we need to root out fraud waste and abuse in all departments of government.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
I support helping businesses that were impacted by the government shutting down the country. As with every program it also has to have checks and balances to make sure there is no fraud waste and abuse.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
I believe we need to close the department of education and send all control back to the states where it belongs. There is no one size fits all and the federal government is definitely not the one to dictate the size.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
America is the engine that produces change. Our people will solve the problems of pollution with the help of the government but not with the direction of it.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I am a believer in our 2nd amendment. I don't believe we should punish the many for what a very few do. If we enforced out laws and put bad guys in prison we would be much safer then taking away our protections.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
No Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
I would wonder how anyone that isn't in business would answer this. If you own a business and the federal government shut you down where would you anticipate a business getting the money from to pay medical leave? Only big business that was allowed to stay open could afford pay medical leave.
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
This crisis is the making of the Marxist in charge or his puppet masters. In the belief that they will eventually have millions of new voters. We are the only country in the world that is letting in millions of poor people and spending hard working tax payers money to support them. If we don't do something this will be the ruin of our country.
No Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
I support not getting our kids killed, unless absolutely necessary we should not send troops. We are bound by agreements to come to the aid of our allies and we should always look to negotiations over conflict. Always as a last resort should we put our soldiers and sailors in harms way.
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
This question is a little tricky. We need protections from countries dumping mass product here and destroying our industries. As we have seen with our manufacturing base loss after the trade agreements we have made. If we lose all our manufacturing and go to war how will we be able to supply ourselves?
Energy production would be the top item. Requires no additional funding just opening up our resources. This is what we have to push when we take Congress back and control the purse strings. We need to force this administration to open up the all of the above strategy to lower our fuel prices. This alone will bring inflation back down. Illegal immigration has to be stopped.
